No documentation and examples don't work

There is essentially no documentation in this project.
The two examples don't work (I've fixed some of them), nor is there any explanation of what they are trying to achieve.

Hi Kieran. Apologies for the lack of documentation. There are certainly a number of areas we'd like to make improvements on here, but finding time across a large set of projects can be a challenge. Contributions are appreciated however, so thanks for the PR.
