CommandBar not displaying Primary Items correctly

After an update to the latest version 4.11.2, it seems my previously working CommandBar code is not working as expected to display the primary items correctly. Some of the recent CommandBar updates don't seem to work well with my code.

commandBar: CommandBar(
          mainAxisAlignment: MainAxisAlignment.end,
          crossAxisAlignment: CrossAxisAlignment.end,
          primaryItems: [
            CommandBarBuilderItem(
              builder: (context, _, __) => _showAuditLogsCalendarPicker(ref),
              wrappedItem: const CommandBarSeparator(),
            ),
          ],
        ),

The _showAuditLogsCalendarPicker displays a calendar picker from a Flyout Widget

What am I doing wrong or what should I do to enable the original behaviour of having the CommandBarBuilderItem show up in the PrimaryItems.

This, I think, seems to be stemming from the changes in #1174 where it mentions;

Primary items of the command bar are now accessible through the secondary flyout.

Any thoughts on a possible solution/work-around as not all the items in the command bar as shown are CommandBarButtons and depend on the CommandBarBuilderItem

EDIT
The only currently working solution is to set overflowBehavior: CommandBarOverflowBehavior.noWrap and that brings back the original behaviour but at the cost of no longer allowing the dynamic overflow behaviour.
