Warthog Pool booting BC-250 workers as Zombie workers

Hi, I'm having an issue with the pool where my Bc-250 cards are booted from my Warthog pool as zombie workers and the connection is timed out. I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas how to resolve this?

Hello,

So this is not an issue, this is miningcore automatic connection timeout adjustable through the option:

            "clientConnectionTimeout": 600,

It's an excellent feature which closes a connection when a worker does not send any valid share for the specified amount of time, it helps freeing very precious resources on your server/computer.

Too bad you are not providing more crucial info about your pool config.json, those screenshots are kinda useless except the error itself 👍🏽
But generally it happens when the difficulty, whatever it is a static or variable difficulty is way too higher for your hardware hashrate capability.

So you need to tweak a bit more your pool config.json. Good luck.

Alright so I could reset it back to the default that you have in your config file, do you think that would be the ideal starting point?

Absolutely, my default pool config.json was actually to give anyone a good starting point allowing low to high end hardware to mine all together.

For your hardware, you can change respectively i think:
Initial difficulty

            "difficulty": 2048000000,

Minimum difficulty*

              "minDiff": 1024000000,

Maximum increase/decrease change allowed

              "maxDelta": 512000000000

One more question, is it possible to setup say a pplns and solo pool in the same config file? And do they need separate databases?

Yes it needs to be two separated pools with two distinct pool id, one using pplns and the other solo.

In the database you just need t create another shares_ table matching the second pool, you can still use the same pool wallet address for both.
