I realize that there are already a couple of event related modules, although this is something not currently included in any of those. It could be its own thing, or it could be incorporated into any of the existing modules as something optional.
As someone not super familiar with most of the meta maps, as well as a non-existent sense of direction, I find that being able to track meta events (or any events, really) in detail would be super helpful. Various such websites already exist out of game, but for those with only one monitor, it can quickly turn cumbersome.
The most useful and detailed website for this purpose that I have stumbled upon is Peu Research Center. There is a direct link to the Auric Basin map here, to give you a sense of what I'm suggesting.
The idea is that with map markers, locations and names of all events would be placed, along with a timer that can be manually started or reset, as well as a little info icon that can provide further explanations or things to be aware of on hover.
To the right, you see a checklist of all the events. If it's a repeating event, checking it off will automatically start the timer for that event so you can easily track when it will be back up. If an event is dependent on another event to trigger, checking that dependency event off will make the new event appear on the map and the checklist. If an event is not repeatable, it will automatically disappear after completion (and check itself off/gray out).
To the left, you see an overview of all events on your map and their timers, ordered such that the current or upcoming events are at the top, with the events with the highest timers at the bottom.
As something extra, there could also be optional map markers indicating the route you need to take from the nearest checkpoint to the event, as well as some form of prioritization guide perhaps if several events are up at once?
This would all make it super structured and easy for commanders to run meta trains as efficiently as possible, especially newer commanders. I'd be happy to provide visual mockups and describing ideas in further detail if anyone is interested in taking on this idea.
