Keep Backup File

Hello,

I tried to find any configuration parameter, that is calling comcut in a way to keep the backup file after cutting, possible moving it to a separat "backup folder". Is there any parameter?

If you are using a Jellyfin post processing script like the example script in the README you could just put a "cp" command at the top to copy the recorded file to a separate backup folder.

So, postprocessing occurs before deletion of the backup file? Taking a Look at the code it looks like it happens vice versa.

There are two post processing steps that occur (assuming you are using comcutter with Jellyfin).

First is a shell script that you configure in Jellyfin that uses curl to make the call to comcutter to initiate the commercial skip process. This gets called when the show is done recording.

There is also a post processing option in comcutter itself that allows you to kick off a process once the commercial skip process is complete.

My suggestion is to modify the first Jellyfin shell script that kicks off comcutter with curl. This way you can make your backup prior to even calling the comcutter process.

I thought to call it some other way triggered by something else, but of course I could let my PVR (tvheadend) trigger a script, where your API is called at the end.
If for any reason you should make a new release, maybe consider some "preprocessing" script?
