For a while now the Footer has been used to contain what usually appears in the header. With Genesis 3.0.3 it's possible to have a nice small header that's sticky. This might be good for blocks.wp-a2z.org. And may also be fine for the other sub-domains.

Suck it and see?

First step is to add the custom logo to the header and the navigation menu in the header right widget area.

How can we adjust the header so that the standard menu fits next to the logo & title on an iPad in landscape mode?

These are some of the options

  • Reduce the title width.
  • Reduce the title's font size. Was 25px, now 22px
  • Reduce the .site-header padding to 8px and title-area top and bottom padding to 0px
  • Reduce the genesis-nav-menu font size to 14px
  • Reduce the padding on genesis-nav-menu a from 15px to 9px
  • Remove items from the standard header. e.g. Sites

With regards to the title. Should it be possible to choose the 256x256 pixel icon for the logo in the title and prevent it from scaling larger than 64 pixels while still being able to control the overall width? It would then be possible to use this on the Sites page or in the [bw_blogs] shortcode.

Note: The primary menus items should be in the following order:

  • Home
  • Plugins
  • Themes
  • Blocks
  • Shortcodes
  • APIs
  • Classes
  • Files
  • Hooks
  • Sitemap
  • Blog

When there are no items of a particular type the menu item can be removed.
