[Bug]: verisoning update message causes error on restart

Describe the bug

this happened when i recieved a message to update and restart.

To Reproduce

i did a fresh install. and i was playing around in making a new bottle putting in dependancies and changing settings. i then got a message about verisoning and an update. asked me to restart. this error occured upon restart.
