Could you provide a module output? I get a warning in my angular build right now.

Warning: FILENAME.ts depends on 'cookie-storage'. CommonJS or AMD dependencies can cause optimization bailouts.

I discovered this great library quite recently. It would have been very convenient to have ESM support for use in dev environments without bundling.
