Timeline as reusable component

This is not for milestone 3, but in the medium/long term would love to have the timeline view as reusable in different contexts -- would ultimately love to pare down the timeline on the main page and suppplement it with more detailed timelines on, for example, just the American Revolution which could live on its own page.
