New M series macbook issues:

• did not add itself to accessibility had to do it manually, otherwise pasting did not work
• 3 copies of the whispering icon in the menu bar doing different things

Also can we please disable the local recordings feature. I'd rather they not be saved and build up over time.

Adding accessibility manually is unfortunately a quirk of the lower level enigo rust library we use. There isn't a fix but I've tried giving the user a prompt to re-enable accessibility in settings.

Could you elaborate on the copies of the whispering icon doing different things? Hopefully the latest release might fix this with #344

I'm on a MacBook Pro M1 Max 2021 with Sonoma 14.6.1.

I just wanted to chime in about the local recordings. I think they could be useful if what you dictate doesn't send to a server for transcription. But it would be cool if there was an option to either disable it or auto-delete after 24 hours or something.

@qu8n @rkhrkh @cgbur just wanted to confirm, is duplicate issue still an issue? I recently set 5.1.2 as the latest version after testing and should have a single instance plugin that prevents creating multiple whispering apps at a time.

And @swimJim , we have a local option! Although it does require running a server on your own computer due to limitations in the Whisper model not being able to run in Javascript (at least to my knowledge). And auto-deletion is slated as my next feature once I have time to work on it!

@braden-w Still an issue, unfortunately. Thanks for looking into this so quickly. I uninstalled the old version and installed the new 5.1.2 executable.

Yes, I confirm, my 5.1.2 version still has three small charts in that icon area. And it seems that, in this latest version, I can't use the Paste function normally. It can successfully copy the voice I just input, but it can't automatically paste it in the dialog box. Just to add, I am using the latest version of Windows 11.
