No signal after reboot

I can put a sysmon plasmoid on a panel and select a data source. Then the plasmoid shows the signal, but after a reboot it is completely silent. It shows no signal.
System: Kubuntu 17.10
How to reproduce:

1. Add a sysmon plasmoid to a panel.
2. Configure a data source, e.g. network/interfaces//receiver/data.
3. Play some web content, e.g. a youtube movie
4. Note the signal.
5. Reboot
6. Play some web content, e.g. a youtube movie
   Expected:
   The plasmoid shows the signal before the reboot.
   Reality:
   No signal.
