It's a big honking 82MB file! I needed to save it somewhere cos it disappeared from the interwebs, so I created a draft release only to upload this file but as soon as you upgrade to Inkscape 0.92, you should delete this file and the draft release too!

NB you have to click on the releases link to see the draft release.

Tried 0.92 but had no luck. The official DMG runs on X11---you'll have to install Quartz. The Homebrew Cask formula builds a native version so there's no need to install X11 anymore, it just runs like any other macOS app. Also, the formula comes with a handy option to build Inkscape with GTK3. But: Inkscape gets installed as a CLI program in /usr/local/bin rather than in a nicely packaged macOS app bundle in /Applications. So you get no macOS integration (Launchpad/Finder/Docker).

I could use my hack to get (half) decent macOS integration with this native build, but it's kinda messy. So for now I'll stick with the 0.91 build that's worked for me so far---i.e. Inkscape-osxmenu-r12898-1-quartz-10.7-x86_64.dmg in the draft release.

Wait for the official 1.0 release to come out since it'll be a native macOS app with loads of improvements and a blessed DMG installer, see

Btw, 1.0 beta is already out:

so perhaps 1.0 will be out before the end of 2019...
