iPhone 6 - IOS 12.5.7 - checkra1n works but causes activation loop (not bypass related) #2358

Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPhone 6
  2. On what version of iOS is it? IOS 12.5.7
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? 0.12.4
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Ubuntu
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? - USB-A

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
0. The device was factory reset and flashed with the IOS prior to jailbreak as a new device - so all clean - no activation loop was seen after restore and device was successfully activated and logged into iCloud.

  1. After jailbreaking the iPhone correctly with checkra1n- which works - cydia and checkra1n apps showing on home screen
  2. after a couple of minutes - 15/30 - the device asks for activation credentials
  3. Enter the credentials the activation is confirmed and goes away
  4. The activation screen comes back asking fore credentials
    ...

What do you expect, and what is happening instead?
no looping of the activation screen asking for credentials

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error?
No

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options?
No

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...?
