Given an integer array nums
, return the number of reverse pairs in the array.
A reverse pair is a pair (i, j)
where 0 <= i < j < nums.length
and nums[i] > 2 * nums[j]
- for every i we check the condition and increment the counter.
- Time complexity: O(n^2)
- Space complexity: O(1)
class Solution {
public:
int reversePairs(vector<int>& nums){
int cnt = 0;
int n = nums.size();
for (int i = 0; i < n; i++) {
for (int j = i + 1; j < n; j++) {
if (nums[i] > 2 * nums[j]) cnt++;
}
}
return cnt;
}
};
- TC: O(NlogN)
- SC: O(N), if we use temp array.
