Attempted import error: 'event' is not exported from 'd3-selection'

Hi, updated my resolution for d3-selection to v3 and am now getting the above error. Not looking to downgrade as a solution because it presents me with another error: Attempted import error: 'pointer' is not exported from 'd3-selection' (imported as 'pointer'). Anyone have any ideas?
