Error messages show player GUIDs instead of player names. A proper solution to this is being tracked in #155, but the tension here comes from giving ourselves things to troubleshoot and giving players info about what's going on. Revisit these player-facing messages to show them useful stuff for now.

We're going to do this at a lower-traffic time in the near future. Need to survey which messages are still showing unhelpful stuff. We may also review at that time how deeply into #155 we want to get with this one.
