Hey, bump @mberg for status about the website.
As for the actual project, it was a one day hack from long time ago and the github API has changed a lot since then (with fewer limitations).

I believe the github blog also published a better/fresher status of this at some point.
One might also want to consider looking at the BigTable version of github's data.

Hi - the DNS was running on an old server I no longer maintain. Let me fix it and get it back up. If anyone would like to help run the data again i'd be happy to create a new map. This time I can do it dynamically from a CSV file. Also happy if someone wants to help work on this as a project. I'd like to retain the domain though.
