The page for an individual tag shows parent and synonym information if it has those, and if it has children it shows a count (but not the specific tags). The linked meta post mocks up some UI suggestions that would make things clearer, particularly in the case where a tag doesn't have those elements.

(Tag revision history is a separate issue (#1218), so don't worry about that part here.)
