Description
Currently, the PCB will continue functioning, even when the voltage input is below levels that are safe for the battery.
For Simman:
We need a firmware fix for the XPOD V4.0 that will act as a failsafe for when the battery is over-drawn to ensure that the battery can be continually used. Nick mentioned that 11.5 should be the low end of that, but I will check specs of the batteries and follow up. Carol said that they died at 9 V, so I would say 10 V kill to be safe, and try to slow it down as soon as it goes to 11.5 V.
Notes for the XPOD V5.0, Safeguard Feature Update:
- Hardware shutoff for unregulated voltage
- Below 11.5 shuts everything off --> Lowest voltage specs for the batteries
- Mindful of tolerances for the voltage divider
