This is likely a rare situation. However, the error message for the MAX_INT + 1 index differs from other indexes

Bug is inherited from AB3 as the delete feature is inherited from AB3 (i.e. the current behavior is same as AB3 and we had no reason to change it because the feature applies similarly to our product)
