Digit "9" appears lower when using M Plus Code Latin 50 on Windows (notepad++, vscode etc.).

Sorry for the late reply. I don't know why as it does not reproduce in my environment (macOS).
Has anyone else experienced a similar phenomenon or know the cause?

I cannot reproduce either—my numerals are aligned perfectly. My environment is MacOS and WezTerm.

Thank you for the verification.

This is likely due to the autohinting being applied on the Latin variant of the font. It will not appear on MacOS due to the different rendering approach used, but does have an impact on Windows. The solution here will be to remove the autohinting and set to full blur, like the other files.
