this is something between a Q&A and feature request (I think). Please apologize if a solution exists and I was just not aware of how to set it up.
We have just recently switched over to the Webcalendar in an LDAP configured system. The setup was no issue and everything works as intended. There is, however, one blind spot for our use case.
The ideal setup:
We would like to have the calendar configured as a public event calendar plus internal p2p scheduler. That part is working out of the box. The problem is, while events that are listed for the 'public' user are always displayed for every user (provided the option is set), we have some internal events that should not be displayed on the public calendar. But we would like to have them also listed for every user independent of their layers etc.
If there is a solution for this I am happy to hear how this can be done. If not, I have hacked a 'user' in analogy to the 'public' user (I called 'internal'). Any event that has this internal user as participant is displayed for all users, but is not shown for the public login.
According to the TODO file the public calendar is planned to be replaced by the non-user calendars so I guess my proposal is not future proof. In any case, if there is interest I can submit a merge request with our changes. If non-user calendars can be forced onto the users this would probably be the ideal solution.
