Requirement of component template used to create component at any namespace or cluster

Background

We need to have a common component template like helm charts to publish of common components across namespaces and even across clusters.
So far, the solution I can think of is to publish component resources in the form of helm charts.

Question

Does the community have any plans or suggestions for save component template?
