["BUG"] Eufy L60 SES unknown battery percentage

Thanks for continuing this integration.

Since using your version, the battery percentage of my Eufy L60 SES is staying on unknown.

I have tried:

• Restarting everything
• Letting the vacuum run for a bit so the battery percentage changes
• Downgrading to your latest stable release
• Re-installing the integration

Maybe helpful for others with the same problem who also have automations or scripts running with the battery level as a condition: I changed requiring battery level > 95% to requiring being > 2 hours docked as a workaround for now to avoid starting cleaning sessions with an empty battery.

I have used AI to try and find what’s wrong. This are its findings:

Root Cause Analysis: L60 SES Battery Level Shows "Unknown"

Summary

The battery percentage on Eufy L60 SES (Model T2278) shows "unknown" because the battery sensor component uses a hardcoded DPS code that doesn't match the model-specific DPS code configuration.

Root Cause

The Conflict

custom_components/robovac/sensor.py (Battery Sensor) - Line 68:

self._attr_native_value = vacuum_entity.tuyastatus.get(TuyaCodes.BATTERY_LEVEL)

Where TuyaCodes.BATTERY_LEVEL = "104" (hardcoded default for all models)

custom_components/robovac/vacuums/T2278.py (L60 SES Model) - Lines 65-67:

RobovacCommand.BATTERY: {

What Happens

1. Vacuum sends battery data at DPS code 163 ✅
2. Sensor looks for battery at DPS code 104 ❌
3. tuyastatus.get("104") returns None
4. Sensor displays battery as "unknown" ❌

Why This Is a Problem

The integration has a fundamental architectural issue:

• Model-specific DPS codes are defined in model classes (custom_components/robovac/vacuums/T2278.py)
• Battery sensor ignores these model-specific codes and uses hardcoded TuyaCodes.BATTERY_LEVEL ("104")
• Result: Models with non-standard battery DPS codes (like T2278, T2277, etc.) cannot report battery levels

Affected Models

Based on code review, models using non-default battery DPS codes include:

• T2277 (eufy Clean L60 SES) - uses code 163
• T2278 (RoboVac G40+ / L60) - uses code 163
• Any L-series or newer models with custom DPS mappings

Verification Steps

To verify this is the issue:

1. Enable debug logging:

   logger:
     default: info
     logs:
       custom_components.robovac: debug

2. Restart Home Assistant

3. Look for log entries showing: "Updating entity values from data points: {...}"

4. Check if battery data appears at key "163":

   • If yes, then T2278 is working correctly but sensor is looking at wrong code
   • If no, then vacuum isn't sending battery data at all

Impact

• Severity: High
• Affected Models: T2277, T2278, and potentially other L-series models
• User Impact: Battery level shows as "unknown", preventing battery-based automations
• Workaround: Use "docked time" instead of battery % for automations (as reported by user)

Just tested the proposed change, but it says there is no property robovac on vacuum_entity (line "dps_codes = vacuum_entity.robovac.getDpsCodes()")

I also tested it in HA and it didn't work. I continued debugging with Copilot until it worked. The results are in #352.
