I'd like to click + drag a box around specific components and hide them all into one named block

A user says:

• While typing, I'd like to have fuzzy search like visual assist on visual studio

• I couldn't find a keyboard option to delete a block. keyboard shortcuts could appear on screen like in workflowy

• When zooming in and out with control mousewheel or control +/- I want to zoom in and out only on the canvas, not the default browser zoom

• I'd like to click + drag a box around specific components and hide them all into one named block. like unit selection in an RTS

• I'm missing some kind of ctrl-space functionality to show me available options even when I haven't written any character in a specific line yet. And I'd like those options to be meaningful based on the context of the code that is nearby

• Undo and redo are too slow, perhaps in the order of 0.8s on a typical case. But I've seen it take so long as for me to think that undo was broken. This is very distracting. Also, when typing really fast, sometimes the editor can't keep up with the character display. This was all in the gettingstarted project so as a beginner I start to fear for typing performance with more complex projects. I see this is listed in the known issues.

• Undo isn't unlimited. I got myself into a state where undo didn't do anything in a worker block and I didn't know how to go back to a known working state. I got stuck.
  *When I try to type more code in area that dark forbids typing, I'd like dark to give me feedback on why it's not allowing me to type. I know it's for my own good - but without a nudge it's just frustrating, especially when starting out

• Sometimes there are red underlines in functions, I'd expect some information on hover. In fact, dark shows return values when I click on lines, I'd like these return values to be displayed on hover like visual studio's native debugger

• If I create a line by pressing enter in between two other lines and then press the left arrow key to go up one line, I'd prefer if dark positioned the cursor on the first variable. I don't really want to start typing at the end of the line

I like the idea of keyboard shortcuts appearing - will have to look into how workflowy does it.

Yes. We call this "groups". You should be able to double click on groups to go into them.

So at a basic level, a shortcult to bring up the autocomplete box.

Agreed! Undo has a server roundtrip involved, which it shouldn't.

Wasn't aware of this - I haven't personally seen undo go out of control, but would be interested in links to handlers where this has happened.

Yeah, agreed on the frustration. This is a good idea.

Yeah, agreed. Info on hover would be useful.
