I wanted to put it under https://github.com/datatrue but someone has already got it. Do you now how we can find out who registered it? |
@rjowett I read somewhere that Github will make reasonable endeavours to transfer names. Reach-out to them and explain the situation. It's common for companies to namespace their project, though. Look at New Relic - their ruby agent, for instance, is under the company name: https://github.com/newrelic/rpm For us it would be /lens10/datatrue Given our trademark woes I have even thought about keeping it generic: https://github.com/lens10/api_client |
Regarding the licence, I have preferred Apache 2.0 in the past mainly due to the explicit language covering patents and trademark. |
@oddui shouldn't the copyright be Lens10? https://github.com/Lens10/datatrue_client/blob/master/LICENSE.txt#L3 |
@thiagofigueiro yes, that was generated by bundler, just updated. |
@Lens10/core-team should we switch the license to Apache2 as @thiagofigueiro suggested? |
So this is the repo for DataTrue_client ruby gem. I think it can public and have a permissive license. What do you all think? @Lens10/core-team
