How do you share your code snippets?

Hello folks,

the fact, that Datenstrom Yellow is so very flexible, is fantastic! From time to time I need a little feature, that is not within the Yellow-Core - yet (!). Therefore I need to dust off my PHP-skills and write some lines of code.

Here are my snippets:

• MarkdownExtended: Open external links in a new tab
• UrlSchemeExtended: Allow more valid URL-protocols
• Shortcut: Page View Counter
• Shortcut: Rating
• Blog Teaser Image
• Open Graph Protocol

Do you also have some snippet, might worth sharing?

Why not publish your code as complete extension repositories? You're almost there since you already have the actual extension file. People can access your ideas more easily that way and provide feedback. With Yellow, the focus is not on including as many features as possible into an extension. My latest extension has just 26 lines — including blank lines — and still serves its purpose. Less is more! 🙂

Well, I find it a bit extensive to create and care for an extension. So the GISTs were a straight shot for me.
But nevertheless, my first try is the OpenGraph-extension.

Yes, I think I see what you mean. Publishing a project can sometimes be more annoying than developing the code. 🙂

BTW there's also the Meta extension which adds Open Graph tags to a website.

Whoops, that Meta-Extension has been under my radar. The extensions description did not ring that Open Grap-bell at me. :)
