How does one edit the default text of the contact form?

It is possible to edit the page.md file in the contact folder, but this does not update the text which displays on the page. I have tried making changes, saving, deleting the browser cache, and reloading, even opening the page with other browsers but...no luck. The same text: "Say hello. Your feedback is very welcome." is being dynamically generated there—not by the page.md in the contact folder. I have looked in the html and css files but have not succeeded. If you know where the source is please let me know. Or where it is cached. It is loading from somewhere. There is a GetContent declaration in the html file, but from where?
I am not a real developer, I am just someone who tinkers.
I know there was a similar discussion, but github is no longer displaying the page: https://github.com/datenstrom/yellow-plugins/tree/master/contact. I either get an all-black page or a file-not found. And it is not in the internet archive either. 8(.....

You can create your own contact page, e.g. /content/contact-me/page.md and add a [contact] shortcut below your custom text.
