Editing fails in web editor after update #1075

This is on a fresh install after my main site suffered the same error after trying to run a check for updates yesterday, which at first seemed successful. When either pressing

I get this error: "Login failed. The email or password is incorrect." After that it appears that I am still logged in and can access the "Admin" menu , but any interaction with the contents of the "Admin" menu gives me the same "Login failed" error. I can also still open editor on any page, but attempt to save gives same error. Otherwise the site functions normally. Here is relevant data. Yellow-website.log:

Hello and thank you for the detailed information. I am not able to reproduce the problem in a brand new installation. Can you 1) try with a different web browser and 2) clean the browser cache/cookies in your current web browser? |

I reopened and marked your bug report as answered, hope this is okay with you. We had one person before you who reported something similar in #1043. Not sure what causes it. Last year I had to change cookie names, because a web hosting company started blocking cookies with exactly the name we used in our software. Multiple people hosted their website there and I decided to change cookie names in the web editor in August 2025. The first editing problem was reported one month after that. Out of curiosity, which web hosting do you use? If someone find out what causes this problem.... let us know. |

Tried several browsers already.
Wiped the install directory, re-installed from a fresh download and problem appear to be solved.
