Line endings are converted to Unix format in web browser

When editing files in a web browser then line endings are converted. Files with LF (Unix format) and files with CR LF (Windows format) are always converted to Unix format. I found this out while editing files created on Windows. Would be good to either preserve line endings or to make this configurable.

After some debugging... it looks like the problem is how a web browsers handles line endings.

When text is assigned to a <textarea> via JavaScript then line endings are converted, when a <form> is submitted via HTTP then line endings are converted again. For example Safari, Chrome and Firefox convert them first to LF and convert them later to CR LF. Web developers don't like simple things.

Line endings are preserved per default. Should be working now.
