How to create an own layout for /blog/author:name/?

Hello everyone! I would like to give the page https://foo.bar/blog/author:name/ its own layout and not take over the one from system/layouts/blog-start.html. Are there separate layout files for this or at least planned?

Currently there are no extra layouts for author pages, I guess this would make things a little to complicated at the end. However you can use the API to add custom content into your blog-start.html, have a look at the page->getRequest() function. Here is an example blog-start layout with extra content:

You can put more content for other authors in the same file, or even rewrite the whole layout and wrap it into if/else statements.

I like the approach but unfortunately it seems to work only in the blog-start.html and not in the blog.html. 😕
