Conference poster & Promotional Material
Our promotional material always starts with us introducing news that relates to our domain problem. For example in the poster, we introduce to the audience by showing them that a patient is left waiting for 8 months to see a specialist and be told that she had cancer. This issue brings concern to us and publicly where the sentence also relates to public experience within the system. Our booth has 4 promotional materials which are a poster, brochure, website, and videos that are shown by monitor.
The website is illustrated below. It contains the project brief description and its features. The website explains the DECO3500 aspect of the project too. How the project could be CSCW (Collaborative Works), How the project is social and mobile? and also, What technology does the project use? We also show shortly describe the design process that we use to make this final prototype. At the end of the website, we introduce our team members concisely.

The transcript for the video:
The current process of referral in the health care system is inefficient and complicated. Since each hospital has their own system to manage the referral, it brings a lot of time loss for patients and doctors to organize the referral from one institution to another. Statistic by Grattan Institute said that some patients in Queensland would wait around 150 days to see a neurology after they receive the referral. This issue brings into our consideration where we think of a way to have a referral system that is more direct and painless. Easy referral is a very simple and quick way to make a referral by making sure that general practitioners, physicians, and patients are collaborating on making the referral. Traditional Referrals used to be made in paper and handwriting. The new Easy Referral aims to replace it with a digital referral that is integrated with physician and patient calendar, thus, they would be noticed with an update regarding the referral status. Moreover, with the digital referral, it would be easier to organize and keep track of the referral history. GP also only have to go to the website in order to create the referral, see all the referral made, and search for a specific referral. There are 3 steps to create the referral. First, GP has to choose a range of dates that the patient would like to have an appointment at. Next, GP has to choose the physician that is suitable for the patient needs. Last, GP has to fill the form for patient information and the referral description itself. After a referral is made by GP, Physician only have to confirm the date and time. The easy referral also offers a chat platform where GP and Physician could communicate with one another. The chat is very simple and useful for both parties in case of some missing information from the referral. Easy Referral will be available on a website for GP and Physician and it will also be available in the mobile application for Patient. With Easy Referral all three parties are collaborating to make a better referral system.
