That’s a fantastic idea. Thank you for the detailed suggestion! Bulk actions for bookmark management are indeed something we’ve been planning to add. I completely agree that being able to select and edit multiple bookmarks at once would make organizing large collections much faster and smoother. This feature is already on our roadmap, and we’re excited to bring it to Faved soon. Your input helps confirm we’re prioritizing the right improvements. Thanks again for taking the time to outline it so clearly! |

Bulk actions have been added in version 2.5.0. It is now possible to attach new or existing tags, remove tags, refetch bookmark URL page metadata, and delete bookmarks in bulk. All with a few clicks. Here's a brief demo: Clipboard-20251227-173532-152.mp4Feel free to update your app right now to get this feature (here's how). |

Feature Idea: Bulk Actions for Bookmark Management
This proposal outlines a new feature to introduce bulk actions, allowing users to select and manage multiple bookmarks simultaneously. This would significantly improve the efficiency of organizing and maintaining large collections of favorites.
Problem Statement
Currently, managing bookmarks in
favedis done on an individual basis. Actions like deleting a bookmark or adding/removing a tag must be performed one by one. For users with many bookmarks, this process can be very time-consuming and repetitive. For example, if a user wants to delete 20 old bookmarks or add a new, relevant tag to 15 existing ones, they must repeat the same action 20 or 15 times. This limitation makes it difficult to perform large-scale cleanup or organization, hindering the user experience for those with extensive bookmark collections.
Proposed Solution
The proposed solution is to implement a selection mode and a contextual action bar that enables users to perform bulk operations.
1. Selection UI
A checkbox should be added next to each bookmark in the list. This allows users to select individual bookmarks. At the top of the list, a "Select All" checkbox would also be available to select all bookmarks currently visible on the page.
2. Contextual Action Bar
Once one or more bookmarks are selected, a contextual action bar or menu should appear at the top or bottom of the page. This bar would contain all the available bulk actions. It would remain visible as long as at least one bookmark is selected.
3. Bulk Actions
The following actions should be available for the selected bookmarks:
