Optware was removed from the app center and therefor can't be installed anymore. This makes this incompatible.

As an alternative this should better rely on the newer Qnapware: http://apps.qnap.community/11-community/10-qnapware which still has to be installed manually, but the packages are more up to date.

Also optware isn't available for manual installation anymore as well.

As I explained in detail in #21 I ended up building my own QPKG package. The official guidelines where a great helper. I installed QDK v2.2.1, modified the qpkg.conf a little bit (again, see #21 for details) and executed qbuild.

I just installed old Windows XP in virtual machine on my QNAP, installed old EyeFi software there and let it synchronize into a shared network drive.

Works like a charm since my original issue. This is the first time I can use my EyeFi card without any serious problems.

I really don't like Windows at all. Or wasting ressources. And I doubt that running an instance of XP within a virtual machine on a single core Atom CPU will result in acceptable performance. So this really is no option (for me). YMMV.

And if you ever want to switch to a native solution you're welcome to try building your own package, it's easy as pie.
