This is not currently part of the library. For many cases an online dictionary will give adequate results (RiTa's dictionary uses phonemes rather than letters), but an algorithm to compute this for arbitrary words is non-trivial. There are a number of existing approaches to both syllabification and hyphenation (similar but not the same) outlined in this paper and discussed here and here If you find (or write) a rule-based syllabification algorithm that performs well, I'd be happy to consider adding it to the library |
