put this class in your application/libraries folder

load it in your controller

usage in class function

$encrptopenssl =  New Opensslencryptdecrypt();

$plain_txt = "this is awsome";

$testenc = $encrptopenssl->encrypt($plain_txt);  //encypting plain text

$testdec = $encrptopenssl->decrypt($testenc);    //decrypting plain texx
