The login prompt can have a checkbox to save user credentials (username and password) so they don't have to provide them each time and edit batch is requested.

These credentials should be saved securely to the user's computer, and it should be possible to forget them in the preferences window (#35).

This will probably change when regular login is replaced with OAuth 2 login (#46).
