Returning None.
It worked for months but on a random day it stoped and returned None after it.

I had a similar issue. As a workaround I created a discord.User object from a http request.

resp = requests.get(f"https://discord.com/api/v9/users/{user_id}", headers={"Authorization": "TOKEN"})
user = discord.User(state=bot._connection, data=resp.json())

If you use this. I would recommend adding error handling to make sure it won't brick your script if the request goes wrong.
