Blazor Cross-Plattform-Framework?

I have known and worked with Blazor since it was created and it is by far the best thing to come out of Microsoft.

I was very happy when MAUI Blazor came along because suddenly you could use the same code for all platforms (Windows, iOS, Android and Web).

Unfortunately, we can all see that MAUI cannot keep up with Blazor. Whenever I come across unsolvable MAUI problems (such as currently no planned Windows notification possible with WinAppSDK), I look for alternatives. Unfortunately, there is nothing that:

• Offers a UI similar to Razor (HTML/CSS/program logic)
• C#
• All platforms (Windows, iOS, Android and Web).

Since Blazor has really become a unique story, I wonder if it would theoretically be possible for Blazor to now have its own cross-platform framework?

How could such a framework look?

1. Foundation:

   • Use Blazor WebAssembly for the UI layer.
   • Leverage the .NET runtime for cross-platform logic and data processing.

2. UI Rendering:

   • Utilize WebView for rendering the UI.
   • Optionally provide support for native UI components where performance or native look-and-feel is crucial.

3. Access to Native Functions:

   • Implement a plugin system (e.g. Cordova) for accessing device-specific features (e.g., camera, GPS, file system).
   • Ensure seamless communication with native functionality through a unified C# API.

4. Platforms:

   • Mobile: Android, iOS.
   • Desktop: Windows, macOS, Linux.
   • Web: Optional, as an additional target platform using Blazor’s existing strengths.

I would be interested in your opinion on this and whether these ideas are realistic?
