Are derived products present in the level 3 data? Adding them, particularly echo tops, would be very valuable. If this data is present in the level 3 format, and there is documentation on its encoding, I'd be happy to help out.

Yes, they are. I am currently parsing echo tops data and can load individual files (File > Open). However, additional work is likely needed on color tables and scaling. Once that is fixed, Echo Tops can probably just be added as a level 3 selection, similar to the existing products.

Other products will take some additional work (e.g., storm tracks), which I plan on starting the infrastructure for in v0.3 supporting icons and such.
