Describe the bug

On version 0.5.3, everything was working fine, but after upgrading to version 0.6.0, videos won't play and cause the application to crash.

To reproduce

Step 1: Open SwitchFin.
Step 2: Open the local area.
Step 3: Open an M3U file with a link that points to another M3U playlist (this works fine in version 0.5.3).
Step 4: The application loads and then crashes.
