Dishwasher F15 possible culprit? 💭

This morning while unloading the dishwasher I noticed that a Teaspoon had fallen through one of the gaps in the broken plastic cutlery holder:

Note: I have no idea how the cutlery holder got these holes, I suspect that a particularly rough visitor did it by forcing something in, but regardless, it’s the situation we’ve ended up in. 🤦‍♂️

The spoon sticking down through the cutlery holder is blocking the lower water jet/spinner from spinning:

And that is what could be causing the error… 🫠

context: I just had to spend another T5m re-washing dishes, pans and a few cutlery because the machine errored with 2h still left on the clock.

Would it be faster/cheaper to simply replace the broken cutlery holder? 💸⏳
Or can/should we attempt to fix it in the workshop? 🔨

E15 or F15 error? Because E15 would be a new error.

Either way, of course this is not going to allow the machine to work and will also destroy the mechanism. New ones to be found. Hoping they're a standard size for Hotpoint machines.

I have ordered one to try for size. More details will be added if it works out.

Meanwhile, F15 is a drainage error and I don't think this is what causes it. This doesn't help but it doesn't cause it.
Last time I cleaned the filter and it went away but I imagine there are increasing blockages in the piping itself at this stage?
