Continuous Sign Language Recognition and Translation using Deep Learning #92

@SaiKiran1102

Description

@SaiKiran1102

I am requesting access to the WLASL dataset for academic and research purposes.

The dataset will be used to study automatic sign language recognition and understanding using deep learning and computer vision techniques. Specifically, I aim to experiment with spatio-temporal models (CNNs, Transformers, or hybrid architectures) for recognizing American Sign Language signs from video data.

This work is intended for non-commercial, educational use only, such as coursework, project development, or research experimentation. The dataset will not be redistributed, and all usage will comply with the terms and conditions specified by the WLASL authors.

The ultimate goal is to improve sign language recognition performance and contribute to accessible human–computer interaction research.
