Native Gtk loader?

When opening a image a HTML/JavaScript loader spinner briefly appears.

Maybe it would be possible to use a Gtk.Spinner instead?

Any communication between the GTK interface and the website running in the Webkit is cumbersome to maintain, that's why I really want to keep that to a minimum.

However, I think the loader animation in Photo Sphere Viewer can be customized. Maybe someone can come up with a nice GTK styled animation which can be implemented in the website part alone?

Photo Sphere Viewer have the ReadyEvent which you could register a event listener on then maybe call back to Rust to hide the GTK spinner.

Maybe something like:

viewer.addEventListener(events.ReadyEvent.type, (e) => {
    // Some bridge Rust here
    rust.hide_spinner();
});

If someone can contribute such a solution, without adding to much complexity, I'd definitly consider merging it!
