The plugin works great, but adds a large space above/below the sequence diagram.
I think this padding is proportional to the number of sequence lines (arrows/note-over)

This workaround works for me (setting height: 100% on the svg): mermaid-js/mermaid#1758 (comment) i.e.:

Might be fixed in a newer mermaid version (it's not clear how the upstream issue was fixed).
