TransferProcess Termination

I was wondering if there is any way to terminate the transfer process from the producer's side. Let's say I have an asset that can only be accessed within a certain period of time. I can implement a policy to validate the time during contract negotiation, but how can I validate the time interval when the contract agreement has already been offered and the transfer process has started?
