I've got some of the HidTEMPer1 units, this code doesn't work with them (but it does with the second batch I bought, thanks for that!). If you're interested in playing with one to get it working, I'd be happy to mail one to you to use for testing/dev.
Thanks again for the code. One feature I'd like to see in it is to just report the temperature (with no other output).

Sorry for not responding earlier - I am indeed interested in playing with one of those. After all, my goal is to get all of them working, and the more of them I have myself, the easier that will be.

Do you have some way I can send you the address privately? (I'd prefer not making it public.) E.g. email would work for me - if you don't want to make yours public, just send one to me, domain is xepher.net with mailbox name same as my username here on github.

I'll take a look at enabling temperature-only output. I'll probably make the output format configurable, but we'll see - if that gets too difficult to do safely I might end up with just a toggle switch instead.
