APM Server transport error: intake response timeout: APM server did not respond within 10s of gzip stream finish

Describe the bug
I am using ECK 8.11.3 and see the following error message from APM. There is no services shown in the APM integration page in Kibana at all.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Use this config '...'
2. Then call '....'
3. Then do '....'
4. See error

@simitt although it is a duplicate, the other issue also got no answer. I'm having the same issue and I haven't found a reliable forum with answers to this issue.
