Suggestions and ideas for improvements.

I miss the following features in Elementary OS:

1- A clipboard (there's already one made by the community, the code could be used), here's the link to check it out: https://github.com/ellie-commons/wingpanel-indicator-clipboard

2- A screen recording feature with the icon in the system's quick access menu.

3- The ability to change the dock's orientation (right, left side), this option could be below the size options in settings.

4- Media control on the lock screen and notification alerts, but without displaying the notifications.

5- The possibility of formatting a USB drive through the File actions menu (this is extremely necessary).

Things that aren't so important but would be good:

1- The system opens a small dialog box asking what the user wants to do when a USB drive is connected! And to access it, it asks for the user's password, which provides more security.

2- Bring the Contacts app natively and add an "add new contact" button.

3- Make Files handle compressed files well to finally retire the GNOME compressed file manager.

4- Allow the top bar to be hidden so that a window can occupy the entire screen if the user wishes. Simply enable this in the system settings.

Accessibility: Enable dimming inactive windows!

I believe these are things that would bring improvements to the system. Many are very necessary.

Finally, please refresh the Elementary OS page because there are 2 new apps that are not listed there. See the screenshot below.

Can you please open separate posts for each request? It’s not really possible to track grouped posts like this and folks probably won’t vote it since it contains a lot of unrelated things

please also search the already opened posts. Several of these are duplicates of things others already submitted :)
