Allowing www or http to work as input

Right now it seems that WHOIS doesn't allow urls to be input with http or even www preceding the URL. I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to include this functionality and would make the tool significantly easier to use. I'm using a database that keeps the URLs with as https://www.domain.whatever and it seems silly that I can't pass the URL as such.
